Okay, guys, let’s dive into this little project I tackled today. It’s all about those safety pins Miley Cyrus was rocking.

So, I saw this picture of Miley, and she’s got these safety pins all over her outfit. I thought, “Hey, that’s kinda cool, I wanna try that!” It looked super edgy and pretty simple to do, so I went for it.
Gathering My Supplies
First things first, I needed safety pins. Lots of them. I raided my sewing kit and found a bunch, but not nearly enough. Off to the store I went! I grabbed a couple of packs of assorted sizes – you know, for some variety.
- Safety pins (various sizes)
- An old black t-shirt (you could use anything, really)
- Some old cloth
The Experiment Begins
I laid out my old black t-shirt on my table. This was going to be my canvas. I started pinning the safety pins randomly. Honestly, at first, it looked like a total mess. But I kept going, trusting the process, as they say.
I tried different patterns. Some were close together, some were spaced out. I even tried to make a sort of wave pattern on one side. It took a while, and I definitely pricked my finger a few times (ouch!), but I was determined to make it work.
The Result
Okay, so it’s not exactly like Miley’s. Hers is probably done by some fancy designer. But you know what? I actually really like how mine turned out! It’s got this raw, DIY vibe that I’m totally digging. It’s a little rough around the edges, but that’s part of the charm, right?

I added some ripped cloth at last. It looks great.
I’m thinking about wearing this out to a concert next week. We’ll see if I’m brave enough! It’s definitely a statement piece. Anyway, it was a fun little project, and I’m pretty stoked with the results. Maybe you guys should give it a try!
