Alright, so I decided to actually go through the motions, you know, see what happens when you type certain things into the search bar. Today’s little project was looking up “megan thee stallion nude”. Just wanted to document the process, the actual steps involved.

Getting Started

First thing, obviously, was firing up the laptop. Opened up my usual web browser – nothing fancy. Then, navigated to the search engine I typically use. Google, yeah.

The Search Itself

Typed in the words, exactly as they are: m-e-g-a-n t-h-e-e s-t-a-l-l-i-o-n n-u-d-e. Double-checked the spelling, then hit the Enter key. And waited for the results page to load up.

Man, the results page. It popped up pretty quick. You get that wall of blue links, some pictures maybe at the top, news articles sometimes. It’s the standard search results layout.

Scrolling and Clicking (The Process)

So, the next step in the practice was actually looking through what came up. I started scrolling down the page. Lots of headlines, lots of different websites listed. You see the usual suspects:

  • News sites
  • Gossip blogs
  • Image search results previews
  • Sometimes video links

I clicked on a few of the links that looked like they might be relevant to the search. You know how it is, some links look more promising than others. Some just scream clickbait or ads.

Navigated through a couple of pages. Clicked a link, scanned the page, hit the back button. Clicked another one, same process. A lot of the time, you land on pages that are just full of ads, or they require you to sign up for something, or they’re just talking about the topic rather than showing anything specific.

It’s kind of a rabbit hole, really. You click one thing, it leads to another, maybe you see a related search suggestion, and you end up somewhere totally different than where you started. Spent maybe 10-15 minutes just clicking around, seeing what the internet actually offered up for that specific search phrase.

End Result of the Practice

So, what was the conclusion of this little exercise? Well, the practice was mostly about the searching itself. Going through the motions, seeing the kind of results that pop up, how websites try to lure you in. It’s more about the process of navigating the search results than anything else. It’s messy out there online. You type something specific, and you get a whole lot of noise back. That was pretty much the whole experience start to finish.
