- Access: Getting things in and out was generally fine. The main compartment opens wide enough. The smaller front pockets were handy for keys and my wallet. No complaints there, it did the job.
Some Real-World Stuff
Got caught in another downpour eventually. Held my breath, thinking about that last disaster. But the stuff inside stayed mostly dry. The material shed the water pretty well for a while. I wouldn’t call it completely waterproof like some hardcore gear, but for a sudden shower, it protected my laptop, which is the main thing, right? Saved me some heartache there.
One thing I did notice, it stands up on its own fairly well when I put it down, even when not fully packed. Sounds minor, but it’s actually less annoying than bags that just slump over immediately. Small win.

So yeah, it’s been my go-to bag since the old one died. Does the job, feels like it’ll last a good while, which is mainly what I was after. Stopped worrying about zippers busting open on me. It’s not the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn when loaded to the max, but it’s reliable. And honestly, after that pavement scramble incident, reliable feels pretty good right now.
