Okay, so check it, today I’m gonna spill the tea on my little “mgk and megan” project. Don’t get any funny ideas, it’s not that kind of thing. It’s more like, I wanted to create something visually striking, a bit edgy, you know?

First off, I started by hitting up Pinterest. Yeah, basic, I know. But seriously, it’s a goldmine for inspo. I was scrolling through, trying to nail down that vibe – dark, a little bit gothic, but with a modern twist. Think less Dracula, more… well, Machine Gun Kelly, haha. So, I saved a bunch of images that caught my eye: dark textures, neon lights, bold typography, the works.
Next, I hopped over to my trusty ol’ Photoshop. I had this photo I took a while back, a really grungy brick wall. I thought that’d make a killer background. I messed around with the contrast, darkened it up a bit, and added a subtle texture overlay to make it pop. You know, the usual Photoshop jazz.
Then came the fun part – the typography. I wanted something bold and in-your-face, but also kinda elegant. I ended up using this font called “Bebas Neue” – it’s a classic, tall and condensed, perfect for making a statement. I typed out “mgk and megan” (obviously), made it HUGE, and positioned it smack-dab in the center of the image. I played around with the colors for ages. I thought neon pink would be perfect. I added a subtle glow effect to make them look like they were radiating light. Sweet.
Now, to add some extra flair, I decided to throw in some abstract shapes. I’m talking triangles, squares, and circles, all scattered around the text. I made them semi-transparent and used a bunch of different colors from the pink to deep purples and blacks.. It looked cool as hell.
After that, I fiddled around with the overall composition, tweaking the placement of the elements and adjusting the colors until I was happy with the final result. I saved it as a high-res JPEG, ready to share with the world.

Lessons learned? Don’t be afraid to experiment! I started with a vague idea and just kept adding and subtracting elements until I achieved the look I was going for. And Pinterest is your friend. Seriously.
