Okay, so today I dove into the world of John Galliano, specifically his 1994 collection. Let me tell you, it was a trip!
Getting Started
First, I started by just Googling “John Galliano 1994”. I mean, where else do you begin, right? I found a bunch of random articles and images, a real mixed bag.
Digging Deeper
Then, I decided to get a bit more specific. I wanted to see the actual clothes, the runway show, anything visual. so, I then refined my search, and wow, that made a difference.
The Real Deal
- I stumbled upon some amazing runway photos. The dresses! The drama! It was all so over-the-top, in the best way possible.
- I even found a couple of grainy old videos of the show. The quality wasn’t great, but it gave me a feel for the energy and the atmosphere. You could tell it was a big deal.
- I spent a good hour just browsing through all the images, soaking it all in. It’s crazy to think this was 30 years ago! The designs are still so relevant, so inspiring.
Making it My Own
I then started sketching. I didn’t copy anything directly, but I let the shapes and the silhouettes influence my own designs.
It was a super fun day of exploring and creating. I definitely recommend taking a deep dive into some vintage fashion – you never know what you’ll find!
