Okay, so I’ve been seeing “jennifer williams natural hair” trending, and you know I gotta jump on any hair journey I see. Jennifer Williams, from what I gather, rocks some seriously gorgeous natural hair, and I wanted to see if I could get anywhere near that level of fabulous.
First things first, I washed my hair. I used my usual moisturizing shampoo, nothing fancy. Gotta get that clean base, you know? Then, I deep conditioned. This is KEY, people. I used a thick, creamy conditioner and really slathered it on, paying extra attention to my ends. I let that sit for a good 30 minutes while I scrolled through Instagram. Multi-tasking, baby!
The Styling Process
After rinsing out the conditioner (and my hair feeling like BUTTER, I might add), I sectioned my hair into four parts. Easier to manage that way. I grabbed my leave-in conditioner – it’s a lightweight one, so it doesn’t weigh my hair down – and applied it to each section. Then came the fun part: the styling cream. I used a generous amount, making sure to rake it through from root to tip. This helps define the curls, or at least, that’s what I’m hoping for!
Now, for the actual styling, I decided to go with a simple twist-out. I took small sections of hair and two-strand twisted them, making sure they were nice and tight. This took FOREVER, y’all. My arms were starting to ache, but I powered through. Beauty is pain, right?

Once my whole head was twisted, I tied it up with a silk scarf. Gotta protect those twists while I sleep! I left them in overnight, praying to the hair gods that they would turn out okay.
The Next morning, I took out the twist, and the hair style shows nicely.
Finally, I gently fluffed my hair at the roots for a little extra volume. And… done! It’s not exactly like Jennifer Williams’ hair – hers is probably professionally styled, let’s be real – but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! My curls are defined, my hair feels moisturized, and it’s got a nice shine. Success!
