Okay, so I wanted to mess around with this “Holmes” and “Yang” thing I kept hearing about. It sounded cool, like some kind of detective duo for… well, I wasn’t entirely sure what, but I was gonna find out!

First, I needed to get my hands on them. Turns out, Holmes is this big language model thing, and Yang is, like, its partner that helps it do stuff. I found them somewhere online, and It take me a lot of time to * process of install all dependencies very hard.
Getting Started
>
I spent a good chunk of time just figuring out how to install everything. The instructions were kinda there, but also kinda not there, you know? It was like, “Do this, then do that, but also maybe do this other thing first.” Classic tech stuff.
- Download the stuff: This was the easy part, relatively speaking. I just needed to grab the files for Holmes and Yang.
- Install the dependencies: Oh boy, this is where things got messy. I had to install a bunch of other programs that Holmes and Yang needed to work. It was like a chain reaction of installations.
- Configure everything: This involved editing some text files and making sure everything was pointing in the right direction. It felt like I was setting up a complicated board game.
Experimenting

Once I finally got everything up and running (which took way longer than I expected, by the way), I started to play around. I tried asking Holmes some questions, and it gave me some pretty interesting answers. Sometimes it was spot-on, other times it was… a little off. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right?

Yang was there to help with some of the more technical stuff. I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t fully understand everything Yang was doing, but it seemed to be making Holmes work better, so I just went with it.
My Results
>
I started by feeding it simple stuff, like “What’s the weather like?” and it did pretty good. Then I tried some more complex questions, like about history or science. It was hit or miss, honestly. Sometimes it gave me amazing, detailed answers. Other times it felt like it was just making stuff up. Yang, I think, was helping it stay on track, but even then, it wasn’t perfect.
Overall, It’s a fun *’s like having a super-smart (but sometimes confused) friend you can ask * maybe take me a whole day to find what i want.I’m definitely going to keep playing around with it and see what else I can discover.I probably need to dive deeper into the settings and configurations to really get the most out of it. But for now, it’s a pretty neat little project.
