Okay, so it’s holiday break, and I’m staring at my closet like, “I have nothing to wear.” Even though it’s literally overflowing. Classic, right?

First, I grabbed all my comfy pants. Think joggers, leggings, even those wide-leg knit ones that feel like pajamas but look kinda chic. I laid them all out on my bed. It was a sea of soft fabrics, mostly black, grey, and a couple of burgundy ones I forgot I owned.
Then came the tops. I pulled out all my oversized sweaters. A chunky cream-colored one, a grey cable knit, and a black turtleneck that’s basically my go-to for everything. I also found a couple of long-sleeved tees in basic colors – white, black, and striped. These are good for layering, you know?
Mixing and Matching Time!
This is where it gets real. I started pairing things up. The black leggings and the cream sweater? Always a winner. Super comfy, looks put-together, and I can wear it for lounging around or even a quick trip to the store.
- Outfit 1: Black leggings + cream oversized sweater + cozy socks. Boom. Done.
- Outfit 2: Grey joggers + striped long-sleeved tee + black cardigan (also from the pile I made earlier). This one’s good if I need an extra layer.
- Outfit 3: Burgundy knit pants + black turtleneck. A little more “dressed up,” but still super relaxed.
I tried everything on, just to make sure it felt right. I even added some simple jewelry – a delicate necklace, some small hoop earrings – just to feel a little more… polished, I guess. No need for shoes, but I did put on a pair of fluffy slippers, because, holidays!
Lastly I took some mirror selfies to decide, and share with my friends on Instagram. It always helps to get a second opinion!

So yeah, that’s my process. It’s not rocket science, but it works! Now I’ve got a few outfit options ready to go, and I can actually enjoy my break without stressing about what to wear. Win-win!
