Oh honey, let me tell ya about this “celeb thong” thing. I ain’t no fancy pants, but even I see these young’uns on TV and in them magazines, showin’ off their underwear like it’s the latest fashion. Lord have mercy!
Back in my day, you’d be mortified if your slip showed! But these days, it’s all the rage, they say. These “celebrities,” whoever they are, wearin’ their thongs right out in the open. Like, what in the tarnation? You spend all that money on fancy clothes just to show off your underwear? Makes no sense to me, not one bit.
They call it “visible thong” or “g-string trend,” like it’s some big important thing. I saw this Kim Kard-whatever-her-name-is wearing one. And let me tell you, it weren’t pretty. It looked like two pieces of string holdin’ on for dear life! And all them cameras flashin’ away, like it’s the most amazing thing they ever seen. I just shook my head and thought, “Bless their hearts, they don’t know no better.”
Now, I ain’t sayin’ they shouldn’t wear what they want. It’s their body, their choice, I reckon. But I just can’t wrap my head around it. Seems to me like they’re just tryin’ to get attention. Like they ain’t got nothin’ else to offer the world ‘cept their backside and a little bit of string.
- Makes ya wonder, don’t it? What are they thinkin’? Do they think it looks good? Or is it just a way to get people talkin’ about ’em?
- And the designers! They’re makin’ a fortune off this nonsense. Sellin’ these little scraps of fabric for prices that could feed a family for a month. It’s just crazy, I tell ya.
- And the young girls, they see these celebrities and think they gotta do the same thing. They think it’s cool, or fashionable, or whatever. But it ain’t, honey. It just ain’t.
I seen some pictures online, tryin’ to understand this “celeb thong” craze. Lots of fancy outfits, and then BAM! There’s the underwear, stickin’ out like a sore thumb. They call it “style,” but I call it plain silly. It’s like they’re wearin’ their clothes backwards or somethin’.
I guess it’s just a sign of the times. Things are different now, that’s for sure. But sometimes I think the world’s gone a little bit crazy. What happened to good old-fashioned modesty? What happened to leavin’ somethin’ to the imagination? I tell ya, these youngsters, they just don’t know.
But hey, who am I to judge? I’m just an old woman who likes her clothes to cover what needs coverin’. If they wanna parade around in their underwear, that’s their business. I just hope they don’t catch a cold, that’s all.
Maybe it’s just me bein’ old-fashioned. Maybe I just don’t understand this new “style.” But I still think there’s somethin’ to be said for keepin’ some things private. And your underwear, well, that’s one of ’em. But then again, these celebrities, they ain’t known for their common sense, are they? They probably get a kick out of seein’ folks like me scratchin’ our heads and wonderin’ what in the world is goin’ on.
Anyway, that’s my two cents on this whole “celeb thong” situation. You can take it or leave it. I’m just tellin’ it like I see it. And as far as I’m concerned, a thong is somethin’ you wear under your clothes, not on top of ’em. But hey, that’s just me. What do I know?
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about underwear is makin’ me hungry. And I sure ain’t wearin’ my thong to the dinner table, I can tell you that much!
Maybe next time they’ll come up with a trend I actually understand. Like a good, sturdy apron. Now, there’s somethin’ useful and practical. But a “celeb apron”? Nah, I don’t see that happenin’ anytime soon. Guess I’ll just stick to my old ways and let them youngsters do their thing. As long as they’re happy, I guess that’s all that matters. Even if they are showin’ off their underwear to the whole world.
It’s a wild world, ain’t it? Full of surprises. And sometimes, those surprises come in the form of a little piece of string, peeking out from under a fancy dress. Go figure.
