Hey everyone, so I’ve been digging into this designer lately, Casey Cadwallader. You know, the guy who’s been shaking things up at Mugler? I thought I’d share what I’ve been up to and what I’ve learned about him.
First off, I started by just looking him up, you know, the usual. Turns out, he’s the creative director at Mugler, and he’s really been making waves. What really caught my eye was how he’s all about inclusive casting and body-positive designs. That’s something I really admire.
Then, I dove a bit deeper. I found out that Mugler, along with Azzaro fragrances, got scooped up by L’Oréal. This happened back in October 2019, as far as I can tell. Apparently, there was some back-and-forth with employee reps, but in the end, the deal went through. I also saw that there’s a new managing director for Mugler, Adrian Corsin, who was already inside the company. He’s taking over from Pascal Conte-Jodra. Sounds like a big deal, right?
Next, I checked out Mugler’s latest show at Paris Fashion Week. It was their Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Man, if you think they were holding back on the theatrics, you’d be wrong! It was amazing.
I also stumbled upon an interview with Casey. He was talking about how architecture influences his designs, especially the kinetic core of his latest collection. And he went into detail about how he constructs the perfect corset. I mean, the guy really knows his stuff.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I learned:
- Casey Cadwallader is the creative director of Mugler.
- He’s known for inclusive casting and body-positive designs.
- Mugler and Azzaro fragrances were acquired by L’Oréal in 2019.
- Adrian Corsin is the new managing director of Mugler.
- Mugler’s Spring/Summer 2024 show at Paris Fashion Week was full of theatrics.
- Casey draws inspiration from architecture and is a master at corset construction.
So yeah, that’s pretty much what I’ve been up to. It’s been really interesting learning about Casey and what he’s doing at Mugler. I’m definitely going to keep an eye on what he does next. I thought it was pretty cool, and wanted to share it with you all. Hope you find it as interesting as I did!
