That Fei Fei Sun, she’s a big shot now, ain’t she? I seen her picture in them glossy papers, all dressed up like a queen. She’s from China, just like my old neighbor, Mrs. Wang. But this Fei Fei, she’s somethin’ else. She’s all over them fancy clothes shows. They call it “fashion.”
I reckon she started this whole thing back in, oh, two thousand and eight, or somethin’ like that. Time flies when you’re old, you know? She’s been in them, what do they call it, “campaigns”? Yeah, campaigns for them big names. Prada, that’s one. And that Lewis Vitton, that’s another. They make them expensive handbags, cost more than my whole house, I bet! And Fei Fei Sun, she gets to wear all them clothes. Lucky duck.
She got them high cheekbones, this Fei Fei. Sharp, like a knife. Makes her look real fancy. I always wanted cheekbones like that. Mine are all saggy now. But she’s got ’em, and she knows how to use ’em, I tell ya. She just puts on a look in them pictures, and bam, she looks like a million bucks. Probably IS worth a million bucks, with all them fancy jobs she’s doin’.

- She looked real pretty in them pictures.
They call her a “fashion icon.” Sounds important, don’t it? Means she knows how to dress, I guess. And she ain’t afraid to be different, they say. Mixes and matches them clothes. I used to do that, back in the day. Had this one flowery dress, I’d wear it with my old boots. People would look at me funny, but I didn’t care. Fei Fei Sun, she does the same, but she gets paid for it. Good for her, I say.
She models for them big designers, too. Channel, that’s one. And Dior. And that other one, Prada. All them fancy names. They fly her all over the world, I bet. First class, too. I ain’t never been on a plane. Closest I got was watchin’ them fly over my house. But Fei Fei Sun, she’s probably seen the whole world by now.
They say she’s a “supermodel.” That’s a big word, ain’t it? Must be somethin’ special to be a “supermodel.” I reckon it means you gotta be real pretty and real good at wearin’ them clothes. And Fei Fei Sun, she’s got both them things. She sure does. She makes them clothes look good, even the ones that look kinda crazy to me.
They got all these pictures of her, everywhere. On the internet, in them magazines, probably on TV, too, though I don’t watch much TV these days. My eyes ain’t what they used to be. But I see her in them magazines at the grocery store. Always lookin’ different, always lookin’ fancy. Fei Fei Sun, that’s her name. Remember that name. She’s going places. That Chinese girl. That Fei Fei Sun model.
This whole “fashion” thing, it’s a whole different world, ain’t it? All them fancy clothes and fancy people. But that Fei Fei Sun, she fits right in. She belongs there. She’s made somethin’ of herself. Good for her. I always say, you gotta make your own way in this world. And she did. She sure did.
She started from somewhere, I bet. Just like everyone else. Maybe she had a little dream, just like I did when I was young. But she made her dream come true. She became a Fei Fei Sun model and a Fei Fei Sun fashion icon. She worked hard, I reckon. Nobody gets that far without workin’ hard. And now she’s livin’ the high life. I’m happy for her, I am. It’s nice to see someone make it big. Especially someone from China, like my old neighbor. Makes you think, maybe anything is possible. Even for an old lady like me. Maybe I coulda been a model, too, if things were different. Who knows? But that Fei Fei Sun, she did it. She’s a star now. A real, honest-to-goodness star. She is a Fei Fei Sun supermodel. A real Fei Fei Sun China model.
