Okay, so yesterday I checked into this Marriott hotel, right? I’ve heard about their evening turndown service before, but I’ve never actually tried to get it. Always thought it was automatic or something. Turns out, you gotta ask for it specifically.

Figuring it Out
So, first off, I went down to the front desk. Figured they’d know what’s up. I just casually asked the lady, “Hey, how does this turndown service thing work?” She looked at me and simply smiled, told me to request by calling the front desk before 5 pm.
- Called the front desk: Around 4:30 pm, I called them up and said I’d like the turndown service for my room.
The Service
Got back to my room around 8 pm, after dinner and some exploring. And boom, the room was all set up for bedtime.
- Lights dimmed: They turned down the lights real low, which was nice.
- Bed made: The bed was all neatly made, with the covers pulled back.
- Chocolates: And get this, they left a couple of chocolates on the pillows.
Honestly, it felt pretty fancy. I mean, I could’ve done all that myself, but it’s the little things, you know? It just made the whole experience feel a bit more special.
Would I Do It Again?
Yeah, probably. I guess it depends on how much I want to feel like I was taken care of. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s a nice touch. If you’re staying at a Marriott, you should give it a try. Just remember to request it before 5 pm!
