Okay, so I saw everyone online talking about Doja Cat’s crazy red carpet looks, and I just had to try and recreate one myself. I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of drama, right?
The Inspiration
I scrolled through tons of pictures, and finally, My target is her all-red look – you know, the one where she’s covered head-to-toe in red crystals? That’s the vibe I’m going for, only, you know, a slightly more achievable version.
Gathering My “Supplies”
- Red Fabric: I didn’t have any fancy sequin fabric lying around, so I found an old red tablecloth that I was gonna donate.
It’s not shimmery, but that is what I have.
- Glue: I’m using regular craft glue. I hope it works.
- Scissors and stuff: Need something for cutting cloth.
The Process (aka The Mess)
First, I cut the tablecloth into a big rectangle. Then I draped it around myself like a makeshift dress. It looked… well, it looked like I was wearing a tablecloth. But, hey, we gotta start somewhere, right?
Then came the “crystals.” This is where things got interesting. I started cutting tiny, tiny squares of the red cloth, and then I got to work individually.
I stuck the “crystals” on the dress and my face.
The Final Look
Okay, so it’s definitely not as polished or glamorous as Doja Cat’s actual red carpet look. I look more like a red, lumpy Christmas ornament. But, you know what? I had so much fun doing it! It was a total mess, glue everywhere, bits of red fabric all over the floor, but it was a blast.
Would I wear this out in public? Absolutely not. But did I feel a little bit like a superstar for a few hours? You bet I did. And sometimes, that’s all that matters, right?
