Creative Arts Emmys Red Carpet Trends: See What Stars Wore This Year

How I Tackled the Emmys Red Carpet Fashion Breakdown

So Sunday rolls around and I’m scrolling Twitter like always. Suddenly my feed explodes with flashy celeb pics from the Creative Arts Emmys. I’m talking glitter, sequins, wild colors everywhere. My brain just went “bam!” – gotta analyze these looks for the blog.

Creative Arts Emmys Red Carpet Trends: See What Stars Wore This Year

First thing Monday morning I brew extra strong coffee and dive into Getty Images. Just kept clicking through hundreds of red carpet shots. My eyes started glazing over after like an hour but I spotted three big patterns popping up:

  • Glitter Bomb Everything: From head to toe sparkles on like 60% of people. Felt like dumping a craft store rhinestone aisle onto my screen.
  • Neon Throwback: Crazy bright yellows and pinks straight outta my 80s childhood photos. Had to squint at some dresses honestly.
  • Pantsuit Takeover: Way more ladies rocking fancy suits instead of gowns than last year. Kinda here for it though.

Started scribbling notes like a mad scientist – “Maya Rudolph = human disco ball”, “Sheryl Lee Ralph’s pink dress could guide airplanes”. My notebook looked like a rainbow puked on it. Wanted to compare trends to last year so pulled up 2022 photos too. Surprise surprise – last year was all boring neutrals and muted tones. This year? Absolute color explosion.

By Tuesday afternoon my laptop had 17 open tabs and my roommate caught me muttering “but WHY so much fringe?” at the screen. Organized everything into categories and wrote descriptions trying not to sound like a fashion snob. Kept thinking “would my aunt understand this?” every sentence.

Final step Wednesday morning: picked the gaudiest celeb photos that screamed each trend. Almost fried my laptop trying to edit Jenna Ortega’s silver space princess dress pic – so much glare! Hit publish praying I didn’t mix up any designer names. One comment already said “you called Zendaya’s stylist by her dog’s name” – whoops. Gotta fix that.
