Okay, so the other day, I got this wild idea to check out where Clint Eastwood lives in Carmel. You know, the famous actor and director who was also the mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea for a couple of years back in the ’80s? That place has always intrigued me.
I started off by doing some digging online. Turns out, finding his exact address is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. But I did manage to piece together that he lives somewhere in Carmel part-time. Makes sense, right? The guy’s a legend, so obviously, he’s gonna want some privacy.
Next, I hopped onto Google Maps, just to get a feel for the area. I mean, Carmel is not that big, so I figured I could just virtually cruise around and see what’s what. I spent a good chunk of time just zooming in and out, checking out the different streets and houses.
Hog’s Breath Inn
- While I was at it, I stumbled upon this place called Hog’s Breath Inn.
- Apparently, Clint used to own it, but he sold it to his friend, Kaiser Morcus, a big-time restaurateur.
- The place is now a health-focused restaurant.
After my virtual tour, I decided I had to see Carmel for myself. So, I booked a little getaway. I drove down, checked into a cozy little inn, and spent the next few days just exploring the town.
I walked along the beach, browsed through the cute shops, and just soaked in the atmosphere. Of course, I kept my eyes peeled for any sign of Clint, but no luck. But honestly, just being in the same town where he’s lived and served as mayor was pretty cool in itself.
I also learned that other famous folks like Betty White and Doris Day lived in Carmel. And get this – there’s a rumor going around that Brad Pitt is planning to move there after selling his Hollywood Hills home. Seems like Carmel is the place to be for the stars!
In the end, I didn’t get to see Clint Eastwood’s house, but I did get a real feel for the town he once led. And let me tell you, it’s just as charming and picturesque as you’d imagine. It’s easy to see why someone like Clint would choose to call this place home, even if it’s just part-time.
So, that’s my little adventure in Carmel. No celebrity sightings, but a whole lot of good memories and a deeper appreciation for this beautiful little corner of California.
