Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with Charli XCX’s style lately. It’s like, so futuristic and edgy, but also kinda playful? I wanted to try and channel some of that energy into my own looks, so I started this little experiment.
Diving into the Charli XCX Aesthetic
First, I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through pictures of her. I looked at her music videos, her Instagram, red carpet appearances – everything I could find. I wanted to really get a feel for the vibe she gives off.
I noticed a few key things:
- Bold Colors: Lots of neon, bright pinks, electric blues. She’s not afraid to stand out.
- Sporty-Chic: Think tracksuits, crop tops, sneakers, but with a high-fashion twist.
- Cyberpunk Influences: Shiny fabrics, metallics, futuristic accessories.
- Mixing Textures: She’ll pair like, a fluffy jacket with PVC pants, or a delicate dress with chunky boots. It’s all about the unexpected.
Putting it into Practice (My Style Diary)
Then came time for action, I really tried to incoporate all I had observed from Charli’s style into my own looks. My goal was simple: channel my inner Charli XCX, but still feel like me. I am so happy with how it turned out!
I’m pretty happy with how it’s going! It’s definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I’m having way more fun with fashion now. I feel like a total pop-star-meets-cyborg, which is exactly the vibe I was going for.
