Well, howdy there! Let’s gab a bit about somethin’ them city gals are doin’ – wearin’ them…what do they call ’em? Thongs? Yeah, those little bitty things.
Now, I ain’t no fancy pants, but even I’ve seen pictures in them magazines at the checkout. Them celebrity gals, they’re always up to somethin’. Seems like they can’t keep their clothes on half the time. And these thongs? Lord have mercy! They’re smaller than my tea towel! I seen some pictures, like them Kardashian girls. Kim, Kylie, somethin’ like that. They ain’t shy, that’s for sure. They wearin’ these things like it’s nobody’s business, showin’ off everything their mama gave ’em.
Heard tell of some others too. Miley Cyrus, that gal who used to be on TV all the time. And that Dua Lipa, whoever she is. They all wore ’em on New Year’s, showin’ off their backsides. Bold as brass, they are. And that Hailey Baldwin girl too, she’s always in them magazines. Seems like all them young’uns are at it.
Now, I don’t rightly understand it. Back in my day, we wore underwear to, well, you know, cover things up. Not to show ’em off! But times, they are a-changin’, I reckon. These young’uns, they want to show off everything. And them designers, they ain’t helpin’ none. They makin’ these thongs in all sorts of colors and patterns. Neon lace, they call it. And flowery ones too. And some that are just…well, barely there. They even wear ’em on them red carpets, where everyone can see!
- They got ones with all sorts of sparkles and whatnots.
- And ones that are so tiny, I swear they’d get lost in the wash.
- And then there’s them “g-strings,” they call ’em. Even smaller! Like a piece of floss, I tell ya.
I saw a picture of that Janelle Monae girl, she’s a singer, I think. She had one of them black g-strings on under a see-through dress. My goodness! It takes a lot of, what do they call it, body confidence, to wear somethin’ like that. But these gals, they got it in spades, I guess. They strut around like they own the place, showin’ off their backsides in them thong bikinis. And you know what? Some folks are even makin’ clothes to show off the thongs even more! Backless dresses and such. That Katy Perry girl, she was doin’ it. Purposely showin’ that little bitty thing. Land sakes!
Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s right or wrong. To each their own, I always say. But it sure is somethin’ different from what I’m used to. These celebrities, they’re always pushin’ the boundaries, ain’t they? And these thongs, well, they’re just another way for them to get attention, I reckon. It’s a whole different world out there, that’s for sure. And sometimes, I just sit here on my porch, shakin’ my head and wonderin’ what they’ll come up with next.
But you know, I seen some other folks wearin’ them thongs too. Not just the celebrities. Regular gals, out and about. Guess it’s becomin’ a thing. Maybe it’s comfortable, I dunno. But I’ll stick to my big ol’ cotton briefs, thank you very much. At least I know everything’s covered up proper.
