Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… uh… Caroline Issa, yeah, that’s the name. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like one of them city girls with their highfalutin ways. Don’t know much about her myself, but I heard some things, you know, from the telly and such.

So, this Caroline, she’s big in the fashion world, I reckon. Fashion director, they call her. For some magazine, TANK, it’s called. Sounds like somethin’ you’d keep water in, not read! But hey, city folks are different. She’s also an editor for somethin’ called “Because,” a magazine you can only see with them fancy goggles, “Virtual Reality,” they call it. Can you believe that? Goggles to read a magazine! Lord have mercy.
Now, they say this magazine, TANK, it’s from London. Big city across the water. And Caroline, she ain’t even from there! She’s from a place called Montreal. Don’t know where that is, but it sounds far. She’s what they call a “fixture” at them fashion weeks. That means she shows up a lot, I guess. All them fancy clothes and whatnot. Prob’ly costs a fortune. I’d rather spend my money on a good chicken coop, myself.
- Fashion Director: She’s the boss lady when it comes to what clothes are in. Like picking out the prettiest eggs from the henhouse, I guess.
- Magazine Editor: She tells folks what to write and makes sure it all sounds purdy. Kinda like me tellin’ the young’uns stories, but fancier.
- Virtual Reality: Them fancy goggles they use to see things that ain’t really there. Sounds like witchcraft to me.
This fashion world, it’s a whole different world from ours. They got their own rules and their own way of talkin’. “High society,” they call it. Like they’re better than the rest of us. Reminds me of them stuck-up hens we used to have. Always peckin’ at the others.
Now, Vogue, that’s another magazine, real old one. Started way back when, long before I was born. It was for the rich folks, all about their parties and fancy clothes. Still is, I reckon. Caroline, she’s kinda like them fancy folks in Vogue, but maybe a little different. She’s from somewhere else, not the same old crowd. Like a new hen in the coop, stirrin’ things up.
I heard tell of somethin’ called “genetic drift” and “diversifying selection” once on the radio. Sounded like somethin’ about animals changin’ over time, like them chickens with funny feathers. Guess even fashion changes, huh? New styles comin’ and goin’, just like the seasons.

This whole thing about “arousal and fear,” I heard that somewhere too. City folks get all worked up about strange things. Reckon they get scared easy. Me? I’m only scared of a fox in the henhouse, or a bad storm comin’. Them fashion folks prob’ly get scared if their shoes don’t match their purse. Land sakes!
They got these things called “flashcards” too, for learnin’ stuff. Little pieces of paper with words on ‘em. Like them school kids use. Guess even fancy folks gotta learn somehow. But they learn about all sorts of things that don’t matter a lick to us. “Jurisprudence” they call it. Big words for fancy ideas. I’d rather learn about plantin’ corn and keepin’ the varmints out of the garden.
They even got old newspapers they put on the computer now. From some place called Red River. Don’t know where that is, but I reckon it’s got a history, just like everywhere else. Every place has its stories, even them fancy city places.
Anyways, this Caroline Issa, she seems like a busy woman, always flittin’ around with them fashion folks. Good for her, I guess. It ain’t my cup of tea, but everyone’s gotta make a livin’. Me, I’ll stick to my chickens and my garden. At least I know what’s real.
So there you have it. A bit about Caroline Issa and her fancy world. Makes you think, don’t it? About how different folks can be, and how many different ways there are to live a life. But in the end, we all just tryin’ to make our way, best we can.

And I heard tell of some actress named Samara Weaving, gonna be in a love story, but a deadly one at that. Sounds like somethin’ for them city folks to watch on their picture boxes. Me? I’d rather watch the chickens peckin’ in the yard. That’s entertainment enough for me.
