Okay, so I saw this picture of Cardi B in a bikini, and I was like, “Damn, I gotta try to recreate that look!” Not, like, be Cardi B, but just get that vibe, you know?

Getting Started
First, I scoured the internet. I mean, I spent a good hour just looking at different pictures of her in that outfit, trying to figure out what the heck she was even wearing. It was some kind of strappy, barely-there thing, so that was my starting point.
The Hunt
Next, I hit up some online stores. I wasn’t trying to spend a fortune, so I avoided anything too fancy. I checked out a few fast-fashion sites, you know, the usual suspects. I was looking for something similar in terms of the cut and the general… skimpiness, I guess?
- I focused on finding a top with similar straps.
- I wanted bottoms that were high-cut, like hers.
- I tried to find a bright color.
The Fitting Room (aka My Bedroom)
After a few days of waiting (the worst part!), my order arrived. Time for the big reveal! I ripped open the package and tried everything on. Some of it was a total bust. Like, one top was so small, it looked like it was made for a doll! But, I did find a bikini that was pretty close. It wasn’t perfect, but it had the same general feel.
The Final Touches
It wasn’t just about the bikini, though. Cardi had, like, a ton of jewelry and killer sunglasses. So, I dug through my own stuff and found some chunky gold necklaces and some big, oversized shades. I even attempted to do my hair like hers, but let’s just say that didn’t exactly go as planned. I ended up just putting it in a high ponytail.
The Result
Finally I try it on. It wasn’t exactly like Cardi B’s, but I think I captured the essence of it. It was definitely a fun little experiment, and I felt pretty good about the final look. The color is great. I feel pretty good.
