Okay, let’s dive into my little adventure with the “calvin klein ss 93” collection.

So, I got this crazy idea to try and recreate some looks from the Calvin Klein Spring/Summer 1993 show. I don’t know why, it just popped into my head. Maybe it was nostalgia, maybe I was bored. Whatever the reason, I decided to go for it.
Getting Started
First, I scoured the internet for pictures. That was a mission in itself! Finding good quality, full-length shots of every single outfit? Tougher than you’d think. I basically spent an entire afternoon just digging through old online archives, and photo databases.
Gathering the Pieces
Next up, I needed to figure out how to, you know, actually make these looks happen. I’m no seamstress, so I wasn’t about to start sewing anything from scratch.
-
I hit up some local thrift stores. You wouldn’t believe the stuff you can find!
-
I also raided my own closet. Turns out I had a few things that could work, with a little tweaking.
-
I Even checked online second-hand, I mean. Found some good deals there, too.

The Styling Process
This was the fun part. I laid out all the pieces I’d managed to collect, and just started experimenting. Trying different combinations, mixing and matching until things started to look… well, kinda like the original collection. It was all about capturing that minimalist, 90s vibe.
I played with layering, slip dresses over t-shirts, simple make up style, and kept a lot of that photos to reference on my side.
The Results (and Some Mishaps)
Okay, so not everything went perfectly. There were definitely a few… uh… creative interpretations. Let’s just say I’m not Kate Moss, and some of those outfits looked way better on her than they did on me. But hey, I had a blast doing it!

I managed to pull together a few looks that I was actually pretty happy with. They weren’t perfect replicas, of course, but they definitely captured the spirit of the collection. And that’s what I was going for, really. Just a fun little project to bring some 90s fashion back to life. I learned that It’s all about the attitude, the simple lines, and that effortless cool.
It was a good time, and now I’ve got a newfound appreciation for vintage fashion. Might even try another collection sometime… but maybe something a little easier next time!
