Getting Started

So I thought it’d be fun to try getting that classic Audrey Hepburn look with wigs since she’s like fashion royalty forever. Went online and grabbed three totally different wig styles that popped up when I searched her name. No clue which one would actually work on my big head shape honestly.

Trying Them On

First wig outta the package was this short pixie cut thing with baby bangs. Put it on and whoa – my forehead disappeared! Felt like I’d accidentally cosplayed Peter Pan instead. The hairline was way too straight and fake-looking, like someone drew it with Sharpie.

Switched to the second option, some fancy updo with a twisty bun. Took me like twenty minutes just to untangle the mess. When I finally got it perched on my head, the whole thing slid backward when I nodded. Total disaster – felt like wearing a hairy pancake.

Last one was that famous Breakfast at Tiffany’s style. Long dark brown with curtain bangs and a low bun. This one actually felt kinda nice! The lace front bit blended okay with my skin after I trimmed it. Did the twisty updo thing like she does – held surprisingly well with just two bobby pins.

The Real Test

Wore each for two whole hours around the house doing normal stuff:

  • The pixie one got crazy itchy after 20 minutes
  • The updo made my neck sweat like crazy
  • The Tiffany style actually stayed put through laundry folding and coffee spills

Took selfies in each too – no filter nonsense. Short one made my cheeks look chubby somehow? Weird.

Final Thoughts

Honestly thought this would take five minutes but nope! Ended up being clear the long wig with soft bangs was the winner:

  • Didn’t feel like I had a dead animal on my head
  • Actually resembled Audrey instead of discount superhero
  • No constant adjusting every two seconds

Huge tip: trim those lace fronts SLOWLY. Almost butchered the bangs trying to rush it. And get wig glue – that cheap stuff falls apart faster than grocery bags!
