Today, I wanted to share something a bit different that I’ve been trying out: being an older lingerie model. Yeah, you heard that right! I took the plunge, and here’s how it all went down.
First off, I started scouring the internet for any info I could find on mature lingerie models. I mean, who says you have to be in your twenties to rock some fancy underwear, right? I stumbled upon some inspiring stories of women in their 40s, 50s, and even 80s who were absolutely slaying it in the lingerie game. One lady, Dorrie Jacobson, is in her 80s and still looks amazing in her lingerie! There’s even a 68-year-old great-grandmother who did a whole campaign about ageless beauty. These stories really fired me up!
Next, I decided to take some action. I started looking for agencies or brands that were open to working with older models. It wasn’t easy, but I did find a few that were all about embracing diversity and celebrating women of all ages. I sent out some emails, made a few calls, and waited. It felt like forever, but finally, I got a response from a brand that was interested in working with me!
Then came the photoshoot. Now, I’ll admit, I was nervous. It had been a while since I’d been in front of a camera, let alone in lingerie. But you know what? The team was amazing. They made me feel comfortable and confident. The photographer was great at directing me, and the makeup artist did wonders. We tried different poses, different outfits, and just had fun with it. It felt so empowering to embrace my body and show that older women can be sexy too.

Honestly, the whole experience was a blast. Not only did I get some amazing photos out of it, but it also boosted my confidence like crazy. It’s like, hey, I’m older, but I’m still fabulous! It’s never too late to try something new and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Plus, showing off some beautiful lingerie is always fun, no matter your age.
