That Sensen Lii, he makes real pretty clothes, ya know?
I seen them on the picture box, them young’uns all wearin’ his stuff. Sparkly things, and big ol’ dresses. He calls it Windowsen. Funny name, but them clothes, they sure are somethin’.
Sensen Lii, That’s the Boy’s Name
He’s from China, I heard. Came all the way over here to learn how to sew fancy. And he got real good at it, too. He studied at some fancy school, Royal somethin’ or other. Sounds important, don’t it?
He calls his clothes “couture.” Sounds like somethin’ you’d spread on your toast, but it means fancy, I guess. And “clubwear.” Like what them young folks wear when they go out dancin’ all night. My bones ache just thinkin’ about it.
