Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “chanel burns” thing all over TikTok and, you know, I had to try it. I mean, who doesn’t love a good dupe, right? Especially when it comes to saving some serious cash on something as boujee as a Chanel candle.

Gathering Supplies
First, I hit up the dollar store, because, duh. I grabbed a few of those plain glass jar candles, the ones that are usually, like, vanilla-scented or whatever. I figure the scent doesn’t really matter since we’re going to mess with it anyway.
Then I found some black spray paint for the inside.
The Messy Part
I took the candles outside – definitely don’t want to do this indoors, unless you want your whole house smelling like spray paint for days.
I carefully poured the paint inside candle glass.

Then, the real waiting began. I left those things outside to dry for, a good 24 hours. I wanted to make sure that paint was good and dry before I even thought about lighting them.
Final Touches, Does it Work?
Once they were dry, I carefully wiped down the sides of jars.
So, does it actually work? Honestly, it’s not exactly like a real Chanel candle, but it’s pretty darn close! It definitely gives off that same luxe vibe, especially when you have a few of them clustered together. And for, like, a few bucks a pop, compared to the real deal? I’d say it’s a total win.
