Okay, so I’ve been seeing “brat outfits” all over my Pinterest and TikTok, and I had to give it a shot. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated at first, but it turned out to be way more fun than I expected!

First, I scrolled through my saved pins and videos for like, an hour, just trying to figure out what the heck a “brat outfit” even is. It seemed like there were a few key vibes:
- Cute but kinda sassy. Think pigtails with a band tee.
- Lots of layers. Like, a crop top, a flannel, and a jacket.
- Bold accessories. Chunky sneakers, colorful hair clips, the works.
So, armed with this very loose understanding, I dove into my closet. I started with my favorite pair of ripped jeans – gotta have that slightly rebellious feel, right?
Then, I grabbed a baby pink crop top that I usually wear to the gym. It’s super comfy, but also kinda… bratty? I don’t know, it just felt right.
Next, I layered on an oversized, vintage-looking flannel. This is where I felt like I was really getting the hang of it. The flannel added that “I don’t care” vibe that seems essential to the whole brat aesthetic.
Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize!
I don’t own a lot of colorful accessoreis, but I chose my chunky white sneakers.

Because, it gives me a little extra height, and they’re comfy enough to stomp around in all day.
I finished with my hair style, a high ponytail.
Honestly, the whole process was just about throwing stuff together and seeing what worked. It’s not about following rules, it’s about expressing yourself, and having fun and feel confidence.
