Okay, so yesterday I saw on Instagram that there was gonna be an adidas x Gucci pop-up shop in Costa Mesa. I was like, “What? Gotta check this out!” I’m a big fan of both brands, so the combo sounded super interesting.
First thing I did was hop on Google Maps to see how long it would take me to get there. Looked like a bit of a drive, but totally doable for a Saturday adventure. I grabbed my camera, because, you know, gotta document this for the ‘gram.
Getting There and First Impressions
The drive was pretty smooth, surprisingly little traffic. I found the spot – South Coast Plaza, which I’ve been to a bunch of times. Finding the actual pop-up took a little bit of wandering around, but I eventually spotted the iconic Gucci stripes and adidas Trefoil logo. It was pretty eye-catching, all decked out, really drawing you in.
The Pop-Up Experience
Walking in, it was like stepping into a different world. Kind of luxurious, but with that sporty adidas vibe. They had mannequins everywhere decked out in the collab pieces. I gotta say, seeing the clothes in person was way better than just seeing pictures online.
The staff were super friendly, offering to help me find things or answer questions. I spent a good amount of time just browsing, checking out the details on the different pieces. I was particularly interested in the shoes, and the bags was pretty cool too.
There was a section with some interactive elements that looks like a bit like a retro, fancy gym.
Trying Things On (and the Damage)
I decided to try on a few things, just to see how they fit and looked. Let me tell you, the materials felt amazing. Super high-quality, as you’d expect from a Gucci collab.
In the end, I grabbed myself the T-shirt of adidas x Gucci. I couldn’t resist the Jacket. It’s definitely a splurge, but I figured it was a unique piece that I’d really enjoy wearing.
Overall Thoughts
Leaving the pop-up, I felt pretty pumped about the whole experience. Even if you don’t end up buying anything, it’s worth checking out just to see the collection in person and soak up the atmosphere. It’s a cool blend of luxury and streetwear, and it’s definitely something different.
It was a fun Saturday excursion, and I got a cool new T-shirt out of it. Can’t complain about that!
