Okay, so, Stagecoach 2024, right? I’ve been to a few of these, and let me tell you, figuring out what to wear is a whole thing. You want to look cute, but also, like, survive the desert heat and all that walking. So, here’s how I tackled my outfit planning this year, from start to finish.

Brainstorming and Inspiration
First, I scrolled through Instagram. I mean, hours. I looked at past Stagecoach outfits, obviously, and also just general festival fashion. I wanted to get a feel for the vibe – was it going to be super boho? More country? Lots of fringe? Denim on denim?
I made different folder, to save anything that caught my eye. Not even full outfits, sometimes it was just a cool pair of boots, or a hat, or a specific way someone tied a bandana. Anything that felt like “me” but also “Stagecoach.”
Taking Inventory
Next, I raided my own closet. Because who wants to buy everything new? I pulled out all my denim shorts, my flowy tops, my cowboy boots (obviously), and any accessories that might work. I tried a bunch of stuff on, just to see what I was working with.
- Flowy white top – check!
- Distressed denim shorts – double check!
- …But my old boots were looking pretty sad.
Filling in the Gaps
This is where the shopping came in. I knew I needed new boots. My old ones were literally falling apart. So I hit up a few stores, and thank goodness, I found a pair of brown leather ones that were perfect. Not too flashy, but definitely stylish, and super comfy (which is key!).
I also decided I wanted a fun, colorful bandana. It gets dusty out there, so it’s practical, and I’m noticed that it also adds a pop of color to your outfit. I found a cute one with a paisley print online. Easy peasy.

The Final Look(s)
I actually planned a couple of different outfits, because, you know, options. But my main one was:
- The distressed denim shorts
- The flowy white top (it’s breathable, which is HUGE)
- My new brown cowboy boots
- The paisley bandana, tied around my neck
- A simple silver necklace and some hoop earrings
And that it is. I am so happy with the final look.
I felt great all weekend, and I got so many compliments! The key, I think, is to find that balance between comfort, practicality, and your own personal style. And don’t be afraid to accessorize! A little bit of fringe or a fun hat can go a long way.
