Well, let me tell you about this fella, Simon Woods. I don’t know much about fancy folks, but I heard some things, ya know, just gossip from the village square, so to speak.

Who is this Simon Woods, anyway? I reckon he’s some kinda important person, though I can’t for the life of me figure out why. They say he went to some fancy school, Oxford, or somethin’ like that. Sounds like a place for them rich city folk, not for the likes of us who work the land.
Anyways, this Simon fella, he used to be with a gal, an actress, they say. Rosamund Pike, her name was. Pretty as a picture, I bet, like those movie stars on the telly. But that ain’t last long, seems like. These young folks, they change their minds quicker than the weather, I tell ya.
Then, he got hitched with another fella, a fella named Christopher Bailey. Now, that’s somethin’ you don’t see every day in our village, let me tell ya. But times are changin’, I guess, even if I don’t always understand it. They say this Christopher was a big shot at some fancy clothes company, Burberry, I think they called it. Sounds expensive!
- They got married in 2012, not so long ago, considerin’ how long I’ve been around.
- And they got themselves a couple of little girls, too. Imagine that! Two little ones runnin’ around their fancy house. Kids are a blessin’, though, even if they do make a mess.
- This Christopher fella, he used to be the head honcho, the “chief executive,” they call it, at that Burberry place. Sound like a big job, makin’ lots of money, I reckon.
I heard they been together since somethin’ like 2009. That’s a long time, ain’t it? In our village, folks get married and stay married, mostly. But these city folk, they got different ways, I guess. Still, if they happy, then good for them, I say. Everybody deserves a little happiness in this world, even if it ain’t the kind of happiness I understand.
Folks been askin’, “Is Simon Woods married?” Well, yes, he is! He’s married to this Christopher Bailey fella. And seems like they doin’ alright for themselves. Good for them, I say. Good for them.

They say this information was last updated on February 5th. I don’t know which February 5th, mind you. They should be more specific, these city folk. But that’s how they are, always in a hurry, always with their fancy talk.
Now, I don’t know what else to tell ya about this Simon Woods. He ain’t from around here, that’s for sure. He lives in a different world, a world of fancy schools and expensive clothes and relationships that make my head spin. But he’s a person, just like you and me, I guess. And everybody deserves a little respect, even if they do things a little different.
So that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. Not much to it, really. Just another tale of city folk and their strange ways. But life’s full of surprises, ain’t it? You never know what you gonna hear next, especially when those city folk are involved.
Anyway, I gotta get back to my chores. Them chickens ain’t gonna feed themselves, ya know. And I got potatoes to peel and laundry to hang. Life in the village ain’t fancy, but it’s honest work. And that’s more than I can say for some of them city folk, I reckon.
I almost forgot to mention that it all started back in 2000 when Simon was in Oxford. That’s what I heard from Mrs. Higgins at the market, and she knows everything about everyone, you know what I mean?
