Alright, guys, so I’ve been digging around about this whole ambient lighting thing in the new Taycan Porsche Turbo GT. It’s been bugging me – does it have it or not? The regular Taycan has it, so I was like, why wouldn’t the super-fast, track-focused version have it too?
So, first thing I did was hit up the Porsche website. You know, check out the official specs, look at the pretty pictures. I spent, like, a good hour just clicking around, comparing different models, looking at all the options. No clear answer. Lots of talk about performance, handling, blah, blah, blah… but nothing concrete about ambient lighting specifically for the Turbo GT.
Next, I went down the rabbit hole of YouTube reviews. Watched a bunch of videos, you know, guys driving the car, showing off all the features. Most of them focused on the speed, the acceleration, the track performance – which, don’t get me wrong, is awesome! But I was on a mission. I scrubbed through videos, frame by frame, looking for any glimpse of the interior at night. Did I see a glow? Was it just my imagination? It was tough.
Then, I hit the forums. Porsche forums, car enthusiast forums, Reddit – you name it, I was there. I spent hours reading through threads, searching for keywords like “ambient lighting,” “Turbo GT,” “interior lights.” Found a few people asking the same question, but no definitive answers. Some people guessed it might be part of a package, others said it might be a region-specific thing. Still, just guesses
Here is My Process
- Checked Porsche’s official Website: The first step must be the official data.
- Search some review videos: Many car reviewers will introduce the car.
- Find some talk in forums: See more people’s opinions.
Finally, I decided to be bold. I found a contact form on the Porsche website and sent them a message. Straight up asked, “Does the Taycan Turbo GT have ambient lighting as standard, or is it an option?” I figured, who better to ask than the people who make the car, right?
Got no an email back a few days later. Sadly, there is no ambient lighting in Taycan Turbo GT.
