So, I gotta tell you about this whole Timothee Chalamet and the Met Gala drama. I was so pumped to see what he’d wear this year, you know? I spent a good chunk of my day checking out updates and all that.
First thing I did this morning was grab my phone and start scrolling through social media. I figured I’d see some early sneak peeks or something. But nope, nothing about Timmy.
Then, I moved to the big news sites, refreshing like crazy. I dug around, and that’s when I found out he wasn’t even going! Apparently, he’s been super busy filming this Bob Dylan biopic, “A Complete Unknown,” around New York.

I kept digging because, honestly, I was kinda bummed. I learned that the theme this year was “The Garden of Time.” Sounds cool, right? Probably lots of flower and plant stuff. It would’ve been awesome to see Timothee’s take on that.
What I Found Out
I read a bunch of articles, and they all said the same thing. Timothee was too busy with his movie. They mentioned he hasn’t been to the Met Gala since 2021, when he wore that all-white Haider Ackerman outfit. Remember that? It went viral, like, instantly.
So, I ended up spending my evening looking at who did go. Zendaya was there, looking amazing in some custom Margiela thing. Jennifer Lopez wore this crazy Schiaparelli dress, and Bad Bunny was also in Margiela. Chris Hemsworth kept it simple with Tom Ford.
I also found out other big names like Rihanna, Jared Leto, Billy Porter, and Ben Affleck also skipped the event. Seems like everyone had their reasons, but still, it felt weird without all of them there.
Honestly, I spent way too much time on this, but it was a fun little rabbit hole to go down. At least now we know why Timothee wasn’t there, and we can all look forward to seeing him in that Bob Dylan movie!
