Okay so today I wanted grab all those killer Paris Fashion Week photos fast, right? Everyone’s buzzing online, but finding the really hot ones right when they drop feels like chasing smoke sometimes. Here’s how my scouting went down, step by messy step.

The Initial Hunt
First, I headed straight to the big fashion house websites – Dior, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, you know the names. Figured they’d post the good stuff quick. Big mistake. Mostly just splashy teasers and runway show times. Felt like they were holding back the real photos on purpose! Got impatient real quick. My coffee got cold while clicking around.
Next stop: official fashion week organizers. Thought they’d have a central hub or something. Found schedules, lists of designers… but the actual photos? Nada. Or worse, tiny thumbnails. Totally useless for seeing details. Felt like hitting a brick wall.
Social Media Dive
Alright, scratch that. Time for Instagram and Twitter. Started just searching #PFW and #ParisFashionWeek. Okay, flooded is an understatement. Millions of posts! Selfies, street style (cool but not what I wanted), influencer stuff… actual runway shots? Buried deep. Scrolled till my thumb hurt. Found maybe one decent shot per five minutes of scrolling. Not efficient at all.
Remembered accounts dedicated to runway photos. Tried searching stuff like “Runway” or “Fashion Show Pics” and adding PFW. Found a couple decent ones! But… most posted much later, like a day after the show. By then, everyone else has seen ’em! Needed the now.
The Photo Agency Lightbulb Moment
Got frustrated. Took a break. Then it hit me – the photographers! The ones actually shooting the runway. Where do they dump their photos instantly? Photo agencies! Obviously!

- Getty Images: Went there first. Searched “Paris Fashion Week”. BAM! Hundreds, thousands of high-res shots. Filtered by “Newest”. There they were! Stunning, crisp shots uploaded literally as the models walked. Winner.
- AP Images & Reuters: Checked these too. Also solid contenders. Getty seemed the fastest and most comprehensive though, honestly.
The trick? Realizing the fashion brands themselves are slow to post, but the agencies feeding the press? They are blazing fast. That’s their business.
The Vulture Technique
Found the main source (Getty). Now, how to stay on top of new uploads without constantly refreshing?
- Instead of general “Paris Fashion Week”, I started searching by designer name directly on Getty right after their show started. Like “Schiaparelli PFW”. Way more targeted.
- Spam the refresh button while a show is actively happening. Sounds dumb, but photos pop up literally while the model is still on the catwalk. Timing is everything.
- Watched for agencies posting preview shots to their social media (Twitter, Insta) minutes after a show. They often post 1-2 killer looks immediately with links back to their main site for the full dump. Followed those breadcrumbs.
Extra Nuggets Found
- Some major fashion news sites (Vogue Runway, WWD) get access almost as fast as the agencies. They post curated “Best Looks” galleries super quick. Great for highlights if you miss the live dump.
- Forget official brand socials for immediate runway pics. They drip-feed carefully curated content later. Not the rush you want.
- Established runway photobloggers on Twitter can be surprisingly fast too, posting shots seconds after they take them. Found a few gems this way, mixing with the agency stuff.
So yeah, felt like a bit of a detective mission. Went from clicking around uselessly to getting those high-res runway bombshells practically live. Key was ditching the brand sources and going straight to the wire – the photo agencies. Now I know where the vultures circle first!
