Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out the New Era flagship store in New York for a while now. I’m a big fan of their caps, and I heard this place was like a hat heaven. So, finally, I carved out some time and made the trip.

First thing I did was look up the location. Turns out, it’s right in the middle of SoHo, which is awesome because that area is super cool to walk around anyway. I planned out my route, figuring out which subway lines to take, and mapped out a few other stores I wanted to hit in the area. Gotta make the most of the trip, right?
When I finally got there, man, was I impressed. The store is huge! Two floors packed with every kind of New Era cap imaginable. I’m talking all the sports teams, different styles, collaborations, limited editions, and the place even had the New York Exclusives!
- First floor: Mostly the popular stuff, the classic 59FIFTY fitted caps, and a bunch of different team apparel.
- Second floor: More specialized stuff, like their collaborations, limited editions, and even a customization station.
I spent a good hour just browsing, trying on different caps, and checking out all the designs. It was hard to narrow it down, honestly! They had so many options.
The Customization Experience
I ended up going to get myself a simple black 59FIFTY, my go to, but I was really tempted to use the customization service that they offer.
It’s upstairs, tucked away in a corner.

I saw many people adding their own patches, embroideries, and text to their caps, making them truly unique. It would be cool to do someday.
Eventually, I decided to grab a couple of classic Yankees caps, they did fit really well and did look good.
Overall, it was a pretty cool experience. If you’re into hats, or even just curious, I’d definitely recommend checking out the New Era flagship store if you’re ever in New York. It’s more than just a store, it’s like a hat museum!
