Master How to Say I Agree in French With These Key words!

Okay, so I’ve been trying to learn a bit of French, just for fun, you know? And one of the first things I wanted to figure out was how to say “I agree” in different ways. It’s such a basic phrase, but super useful.

First, I fired up Google Translate, my trusty companion for quick translations. Typed in “I agree,” and boom, it gave me “Je suis d’accord.” Sounds simple enough, right?

I tried saying it out loud a few times. “Je… suis… d’accord.” It felt a bit clunky at first, but I got the hang of it. I practiced on my dog, she is a great listener. She didn’t seem to care much, but hey, practice is practice!

Other Ways to Say “I Agree”

Then, I thought, there’s gotta be more than one way to say this. So, I started digging around some more. I found a few more options:

  • “C’est vrai.” (That’s true)
  • “Tout à fait.” (Absolutely)
  • “Exactement.” (Exactly)
  • “Bien sûr.” (Of course)

I practiced these, mixing them up with “Je suis d’accord.” For “C’est vrai” I realize that the pronunciation might be hard, because it’s a throaty sound, I tried many times and find a great video to teach me, and that really help me to learn.

Now I feel like I have a little arsenal of agreement phrases. Next time I’m chatting with someone in French (even if it’s just in my head), I’ll be ready to show my agreement in style!
